Morgan Co., Ohio, resident, member of 17th O.V.I. during Civil War. Papers consist of correspondence, a diary, estate papers, a land grant, minutes, rosters and miscellaneous material pertaining to Woodward's family and the family of his wife, Hannah Parsons Woodward. The correspondence includes letters written while in Co. H, 17th Regt., OVI. The diary was kept while in the service, 1864-1865, and minutes and rosters are of the 1909, 1911, and 1919 annual reunions of the 17th Regt., OVI Assn.
